 The United States is home to several locations that are rumored to be haunted. Here are some of the most famous and frequently mentioned haunted places in the USA:  

1. The Stanley Hotel (Estes Park, Colorado): Known for inspiring Stephen King's novel "The Shining," this historic hotel is believed to be haunted by several spirits.  

2. Eastern State Penitentiary (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania): A former prison with a dark history, Eastern State Penitentiary is said to be haunted by former inmates and guards.  

3. The Myrtles Plantation (St. Francisville, Louisiana): Considered one of America's most haunted homes, this plantation has a reputation for paranormal activity and ghostly sightings.
